My Journey as an Athlete
My journey began when I discovered a deep passion for the game of basketball, but my path to success was far from easy. Year after year I faced rejection, getting cut from the team until my junior year of high school. Despite the setbacks, I refused to give up. With each disappointment, I learned valuable lessons in resilience and determination. Through hard work and perseverance, I not only made the varsity team but excelled on the court, earning a scholarship to pursue my dreams in college.
During my college years, I had the privilege of playing as a forward for the Texas Wesleyan basketball team. Representing my school on the court was a tremendous honor, and I poured my heart and soul into every game, striving to be the best player I could be.
College brought new challenges and unexpected obstacles. Legal trouble threatened to derail my aspirations of playing basketball professionally following graduation, forcing me to confront the harsh realities of consequences.
Armed with a degree and unwavering determination, I ventured into the corporate world, determined to carve out my own path to success in entrepreneurial pursuits, and a successful career in the finance world as an Agile Coach.
Coaching the Future
I have continued to find purpose in coaching and mentoring young athletes in my community, including my own son. Witnessing the transformational impact of mentorship firsthand, I realized the profound influence it could have on shaping futures.
As I invested time and energy into nurturing the talents of aspiring athletes, I recognized a common thread—the need for guidance and support extended far beyond the basketball court. Many of these young individuals faced challenges similar to those I had encountered in my own journey—challenges that transcended athletics and touched every aspect of their lives.
